The Scanning Process

Scanning time depends on the size and complexity of the property. As a general rule, plan on approximately about 30 minutes per 1,000 square feet, and faster in large, open spaces. A 2,000 sq ft home typically takes about an hour. A large hotel, venue, or commercial property may take several hours.

For best results: clean and declutter all rooms, turn on all lights, open all interior doors you want included, remove pets, avoid bright direct sunlight shining into rooms, and keep all doors and furniture in their intended positions throughout the scan.

The property does not need to be vacant, but it is ideal. For hotels, venues, and commercial spaces, we can schedule scans during off-hours to minimize disruption and produce the cleanest results.

You do not need to be present — but someone must provide access to the property. We are professional, efficient, and will leave the space exactly as we found it.

Most tours are processed and delivered within 24 hours of the scan. You will receive your shareable link, embed code, and MLS-compatible link as soon as your tour is ready. Rush delivery is available upon request.

Our standard packages include six months of hosting on Matterport’s global cloud platform. You can add a full year at booking for $20, and hosting renews after that at $50 per model per year. For construction documentation or long-term commercial projects, multi-year hosting packages are available.

We can transfer the model to your own Matterport account so you maintain full ownership and control. Floor plan exports, OBJ/point cloud files for BIM and CAD integration, and other file formats are available as add-ons.
